Cookie Policy
Effective date: 1 May 2025
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, improve user experience, and provide information to website owners. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and pixel tags.
2. Our approach to cookies
We have designed our marketing website (pynimox.com.au) to be privacy-first and cookieless. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels, or third-party profiling technologies on our public website.
Our client portal (portal.pynimox.com.au) uses strictly necessary cookies only — the minimum required for secure authentication and session management.
3. Cookies on the marketing website
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration | Consent |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Plausible Analytics | Analytics (cookieless) | Aggregate, anonymised page-view statistics. No cookies are set; no personal identifiers are collected. Data never leaves EU servers. | N/A — no cookie | Not required |
| __vercel_live_token | Technical | Used by Vercel in preview deployments only. Not present in production. | Session | Not required |
No cookies are placed on this website that require consent under UK GDPR, the Australian Privacy Act, or the EU ePrivacy Directive.
4. Cookies on the client portal
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration | Consent |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| next-auth.session-token | Strictly necessary | Maintains your authenticated session. Without this cookie the portal cannot function. Contains an encrypted session reference — no personal data in plaintext. | 7 days | Not required |
| next-auth.csrf-token | Strictly necessary | Prevents Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) attacks on form submissions. | Session | Not required |
| next-auth.callback-url | Strictly necessary | Stores the URL to redirect to after login. | Session | Not required |
Because these cookies are strictly necessary for portal functionality, they are placed automatically upon login and do not require a consent banner. You can delete them at any time through your browser settings, which will log you out.
5. Third-party services
Our portal uses Stripe for payment processing. When you interact with payment forms, Stripe may set its own cookies on your device in accordance with Stripe’s Privacy Policy. We have no control over these cookies.
6. Managing cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data
Blocking strictly necessary cookies on the portal will prevent you from logging in. Blocking cookieless analytics (Plausible) has no effect on your experience.
7. Updates to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when we add new features or services. Changes will be reflected by an updated effective date. If we introduce any non-essential cookies in the future, we will implement a consent mechanism compliant with applicable law before doing so.
