The problem
SRMJ sold clothing through a physical store and WhatsApp. Orders arrived as chat messages, stock lived on paper, prices were changed one product at a time, and every new photo shoot had to be named, described and priced by hand before anything could be sold online. There was no storefront, no way to take payment, and no reliable record of what had actually shipped.
Our approach
Next.js 15 App Router + TypeScript + Tailwind on Supabase Postgres, built and gated in five phases. Authorisation is a role matrix (staff / manager / super_admin) enforced in RLS at the database, not just in the UI. The admin side is a nine-module ERP: catalogue with a variant matrix, stock with an audit trail, bulk pricing and scheduled offers, orders with restock-on-cancel and COD reconciliation, ads, users, settings, CSV bulk import and a live dashboard. Checkout runs COD, PayHere and bank transfer through one stock-safe order RPC with an idempotent webhook. Product cataloguing is automated: Gemini vision reads a folder of photos, groups them into products by design and colour, and pre-fills the admin form with name, category, fabric, colours and tags.
The outcome
Live at srmjclothing.pynimox.com. Storefront and category pages serve from ISR at roughly 10ms warm TTFB; the category endpoint held 2,000 of 2,000 requests at 200 rps with a 71ms median, and CLS is 0 on every storefront page. Repricing 500 products takes 412ms; a 200-row catalogue import takes 5.4s and is idempotent on re-run. All 41 release-gate assertions passed, including a five-way parallel checkout race on three units of stock that produced exactly three orders, forged and replayed payment signatures rejected, and client-injected prices ignored.
